                                               The 4th-grade music performance is Wednesday at 6:30pm at the high school. Students may arrive at 6:15, but please don't enter the auditorium as another school will be performing before us. Please have your child wear red, white, and blue on the day of the performance since the theme is America. Many kids have speaking parts, so please review the lines with your child at home to memorize the part. Hope to see you there! Our class Valentine's Day Party will be on 2/14 at 2:00. Students are allowed, but not required, to bring valentine cards, but they need to bring them for all 26 students. Here is a list of class names.                                                                                                                                   We will be taking the NWEA tests for the next two weeks, so please try to avoid appointments in the mornings if possible. The reading test will be given Wednesday and will likely take the rest of the week to complete. The math test will be given on the 24th and extend throughout the rest of that week. Kids can bring gum or jolly ranchers to "wake up their brains" for the tests. I will let you know when we're done testing so you can help keep these items at home. Thanks for all your help! I know this week will be a challenge while getting back into routines, so please know we will be practicing them at school all week too. Mrs. Knuth will be showing an all-school movie at 2:30, so we can't have our party at that time. Our class party with snacks & hot chocolate will be from 11:45-12:45 instead.                                                             The pancake breakfast is back & free this year due to the amount of money raised at Laps for Lincoln. Please join us in the gym this Saturday from 9:00-11:00. The Book Fair will be open too in case you need any extra Christmas gifts! A few things have come up this week that I want to address. First, if students have cell phones at school, they should be powered off and kept in their backpacks all day. They may not be taken out to recess. Second, please make sure to keep all Pokemon and sports cards at home. They should not be trading or playing with them at school.
