The 4th-grade music performance is Wednesday at 6:30pm at the high school. Students may arrive at 6:15, but please don't enter the auditorium as another school will be performing before us. Please have your child wear red, white, and blue on the day of the performance since the theme is America. Many kids have speaking parts, so please review the lines with your child at home to memorize the part. Hope to see you there!

Our class Valentine's Day Party will be on 2/14 at 2:00. Students are allowed, but not required, to bring valentine cards, but they need to bring them for all 26 students. Here is a list of class names. Please don't send any candy attached to the cards as some kids cannot eat that candy. Thank you!

NWEA winter testing is done! All gum & candy should come home. We are updating our student-led conference slides with the new scores. All students will be asked to lead another conference with an adult at home. Conferences are not required with me for the spring. If you would like to come in and have me join your conference, please sign up for a time here. I have already reached out to anyone I am requesting a conference with. Students may bring Chromebooks home for the conference. More information will be coming in February!

Here are some important things to know:

  • students should be reading their good fit book every night & bookmarks should be initialed/signed 
  • planners should be checked and can be signed every night to keep our communication strong
  • please make sure your child has headphones/earbuds if possible(I have extras and will assign them to specific kids)
  • there are no specials on late start days
  • kids need a water bottle and healthy snack every day

                                                         Conferences are this week! Please click  here  to check your day & time. The kids have been working hard to complete their slides to present at the conferences. Due to the short time we have together & the length of the slides, I will most likely have you finish up your conference with your child in the hallway after our time is up. Last year the kids could finish at home, but with the Chromebooks staying here, that gets a little tricky. I will set up a desk with some chairs. Thanks for understanding!                                                          This week begins the student council stuff-a-truck food donation collection.  Students are encouraged to bring any non-perishable food items to school each day. For a friendly competition, there will be a pizza party for the lower & upper el classes with the most donations. Thanks for your help in supporting our community! The Winn Dixie movie reward was a huge success! During the movie, kids were naturally comparing the movie to the book. It was fantastic to hear that the book was better and had more details!
