Thanks to all of your hard work and generosity, we won the upper-level classroom donations for Laps for Lincoln!!! We earned a pizza party & visit from a baby camel! I will share the details when I have them. Thanks to all who could join us on Friday night for the celebration!

The Halloween Party will be on Halloween from 2:00-3:00. All are welcome to join us. We will have a craft, a game, and treats/snacks. I will send a signup & email to the volunteers who volunteered soon!

Since most of the conferences are complete, the 4th grade team will be discussing the process for sending chromebooks home to students who require extra time at home for IXL and Lexia. More info will be coming!

We are really close to earning our paperclip chain reward as a class. Since we are also almost finished reading Because of Winn Dixie for our read-aloud, the kids would like to watch the movie. Please let me know if you do not want your child to watch this movie. They will be able to bring in an extra snack & clear drink too. The date of the reward will be written in your child's planner since we haven't fully earned it yet!

Here are some important things to know:

  • students should be reading their good fit book every night & bookmarks should be initialed/signed 
  • planners should be checked and can be signed every night to keep our communication strong
  • please make sure your child has headphones/earbuds if possible(I have extras and will assign them to specific kids)
  • there are no specials on late start days
  • kids need a water bottle and healthy snack every day

                                    For Back to School Night on Monday, we are trying to make it more interactive! We will show you how to access everything on your child's school device and will explain the daily expectations.                                                        The holiday party time on the 22nd will be moved from 2:00 to 11:45. Mrs. Knuth will be showing an all-school movie at 2:30, so we can't have our party at that time. Our class party with snacks & hot chocolate will be from 11:45-12:45 instead. Sorry if that interferes with your work plans. We would still love for you to join us if you can!  Ice skating will be Thursday from 11:50-12:30. Please feel free to join us at the skating rink! October 31 - November 4

                                                 Anyone is welcome to join us on Monday from 2:00-3:00 for the class Halloween party. Reminder kids may come to school dressed in their costumes. Anything that interferes with learning or is a distraction should be kept in backpacks until the party and parade. The school-wide parade on the playground will start at 3:15, weather permitting. Thanks to all who helped!!   Book reflections are ready for students to complete when they finish reading their books! Once they complete the form correctly in Classroom, they will receive a touchdown. The form will change depending on the reading strategy we are currently working on.
