Thank you for such an excellent school year! I can't believe this will be my last blog this year. These kids have grown so much and I will miss them terribly. We are starting unit 9 in math but won't get through most of it. Since this unit reviews all the skills we have done this year, I thought it would be nice to send them home with kids to review over the summer when possible. We don't want to lose that growth!!

On Friday, we cleaned out lockers, cubbies, and book boxes. Everything should stay home except for good-fit books and math journals. All library books were due on Friday during Media Center, but students will still need a book to read the following week. They may need to bring a book from home or the public library because I will be packing my books for the move, so unfortunately they will not be available. Thanks for your help!

Here is the field day schedule for 4th grade: 
  • Lunch 11:15 on the grass in front of the school(please send in a towel or blanket for kids to sit on)
  • Lunch recess 11:40-12:05
  • 12:30-1:15 maize games on the blacktop 
  • 1:15-2:00 blue games on the field 
  • 2:00-2:45 relays in the courtyard 
  • 3:00 Staff/5th-grade kickball game
 
This Week:
Monday - Art; Field Day; Staff/5th Grade Kickball Game

Tuesday - PE; Half Day

Wednesday - Half Day

Thursday - Music; Half Day

Friday - Awards Ceremony; Half Day; Last Day

                                    For Back to School Night on Monday, we are trying to make it more interactive! We will show you how to access everything on your child's school device and will explain the daily expectations. Due to limited space, please leave your children at home if possible.  Here are the  Slides  if you would like to take a look in advance. December 12 - 16

                                                       The holiday party time on the 22nd will be moved from 2:00 to 11:45. Mrs. Knuth will be showing an all-school movie at 2:30, so we can't have our party at that time. Our class party with snacks & hot chocolate will be from 11:45-12:45 instead. Sorry if that interferes with your work plans. We would still love for you to join us if you can!  Ice skating will be Thursday from 11:50-12:30. Please feel free to join us at the skating rink! October 31 - November 4

                                                 Anyone is welcome to join us on Monday from 2:00-3:00 for the class Halloween party. Reminder kids may come to school dressed in their costumes. Anything that interferes with learning or is a distraction should be kept in backpacks until the party and parade. The school-wide parade on the playground will start at 3:15, weather permitting. Thanks to all who helped!!   Book reflections are ready for students to complete when they finish reading their books! Once they complete the form correctly in Classroom, they will receive a touchdown. The form will change depending on the reading strategy we are currently working on.
